Jobs for senior professionals showed a significant uptrend in recruitment activity during June, as hiring grew by 15 per cent for C-level executives with over 20 years of experience, says a report.
According to the latest TimesJobs.Com RecruiteX report, hiring was upbeat across experienced categories of professionals, witnessing growth rates ranging from 7 to 15 per cent, with the biggest demand seen for highly experienced professionals.
"Mid-year is the time when a lot of expansions and acquisitions take place, so experienced professionals are needed to manage processes and take key decisions involved in these businesses," Times Business Solutions Head of Strategy, Nilanjan Roy said.

Startups and new businesses are also able to leverage considerable knowledge and strong business networks that these professionals have developed over the years, Roy added.
Candidates with 10-20 years of experience witnessed 11 per cent rise in recruitment, while those with 5-10 years saw a 14 per cent rise, and candidates with 2-5 years of experience saw 7 per cent growth.
However, the less than 2 years of experience level was the only category to post a drop (4 per cent) in demand during June, 2016.
A city-wise analysis showed that hiring grew by 14 per cent in both Bengaluru and Pune. Chennai saw 11 per cent rise, Delhi saw 5 per cent increase and Mumbai posted 3 per cent rise in talent demand in June, 2016.
Profession-wise, business management and consultants reported a significant 21 per cent rise in demand in June, while Hospitality professionals saw a 12 per cent rise in demand during the month, the report added.
Demand for engineers and IT/Telecom professionals rose by 5 per cent and 10 per cent respectively.
