Speaking as chief guest in the function, organised by Haryana Aggarwal Vikas Sangthan at old Government college ground here, Hooda said, "the path shown by Maharaja Aggrasen can bring equality in the society as he gave the slogan of 'One brick and One rupee' for the downtrodden."

Agrasena was king of Agroha, a city of traders, from where the Agrawal community claims to have descended.

Hooda said the Agarwal community has contributed a lot for the development of the nation.

"Lala Lajpat Rai belonged to this community who sacrificed his life for the nation," he said.

Earlier, the chief minister laid foundation stones and inaugurated projects worth Rs 27 crore, including the buildings of the Haryana School of Business (Rs 13.85 crore) and Bio and Nanotechnology Centre (Rs 8.85 crore) on the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology campus here.

Hooda also laid stone of the 33 KV sub-station in Sector 14.

He also inaugurated community centres at Patel Nagar and Azad Nagar.
