Udhampur District Development Commissioner P K Pole and Chenani legislator K C Bhagat inaugurated the historic Sudhmahadev mela at Chenani in Udhampur district.
On the first day, nearly 50,000 devotees flocked to the temple to seek blessings of the Lord Shiva and took a dip in Beenisangam called Budhisudhi rivulet.
The fair saw a considerable number of Vaishno Devi pilgrims coming to pay obeisance at the Shiv temple here.
