Hitachi Solutions acquires Ignify for an undisclosed sum

Hitachi Solutions India, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Hitachi, has acquired IT solutions provider Ignify for an undisclosed amount.

With this acquisition, Hitachi Solutions will add 450 more technical and delivery resources and expand its presence in the Asia Pacific region.

Ignify has offices in the United States, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Japan. The company offers eCommerce, its flagship, end-to-end business to business and business to consumer platform.

"I am pleased to work with the Ignify team as Hitachi Solutions expands its capabilities to help our customers expand into new geographies and industries," Hitachi Solutions America Business Solution Group President and Global Chief Operating Officer Mike Gillis said in a statement.
 

Asia Pacific is a key geography for Hitachi Solutions and the acquisition is another important milestone in its investment made in the region.

Recently, Hitachi Solutions has set up a subsidiary in Singapore.

"We are excited to join forces with the talented team at Ignify to develop and deliver innovative business management solutions that provide exceptional business value to our customers," Ananth Subramanian, President, Hitachi Solutions India and Hitachi Solutions Asia Pacific, said.

Ignify will become a part of Hitachi Solutions America and will operate under the Business Solutions group.

Ignify Founders Sandeep Walia and Pankaj Kumar will become senior members of Hitachi Solutions management.

"Ignify is extremely pleased to join a global brand with exceptional caliber of Hitachi Solutions," Ignify Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sandeep Walia said.

"Our newly integrated company will also provide Ignify customers with global scale, access to worldwide expertise, and a broader pool of resources," he said.
