The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai today said that advertisement hoardings obstructing the air operations at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport had been removed.
As the advertisers ignored the directive to reduce the height of hoardings, action was taken, MCGM said in a release.
The hoardings were affecting the flight take-offs, it added.

In a meeting on May 28, 2014, MCGM asked advertisers to remove the hoardings in 72 hours. But as the order was not complied with, the license department of the MCGM started dismantling the hoardings.
Nine out of the total of 11 hoardings had been removed and the rest were in the process of being removed, it added.
"We expect that the air operations will now be smooth," MCGM said.
