Hockey India inducts CISF as its Associate member

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) can now compete in all the national championships after being inducted as the new Associate of the Hockey India, game's governing body in the country.

CISF is a paramilitary force under Ministry of Home Affairs, providing integrated security cover to the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

"We are delighted to welcome CISF as our Associate Member. Working together with such an organisation will definitely provide good opportunities in the area of sports," Narinder Batra, Secretary General, Hockey India, said in a release.

"With CISF on board as Hockey India's Associate Member, we look forward to a healthy sports environment both on National and International front hereon," Batra added.
 

Hockey India currently has 26 Permanent Member units, 20 Associate Members, 2 Members through State Olympic Associations, 5 Academy Members and 1 Hoc-Key Member.
