Actor Kristian Nairn, who plays the simple-minded giant Hodor on 'Game Of Thrones', has revealed that his and Bran Stark's plotline will not feature in the upcoming season five.

Nairn's character, who can only say his name in the popular series, however, assured fans that they will return in the next seasons, said the Hollywood Reporter.

"We have a season off and we have a year's hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books," Nairn said in an interview with Australia's The ABC.

Fans of George RR Martin's epic fantasy series saw Bran, one of the youngest of the Ned Stark's children, meet the three-eyed-raven and the Children of the Forest. These characters are set to become important in the plotline eventually.

"The Children of the Forest and the three-eyed raven are part of the deep history of the show that will actually come back as the show goes on," finale director Alex Graves had said.
