Holi celebrated with traditional fervour in Pink City

Holi was celebrated with traditional fervour in the Pink city with enthusiastic revellers and people thronging the streets.

People who took to the streets danced to the tune of drum beats and splashed each other with colour.

Wearing clothes dyed in hues, people visited friends and relatives to exchanged greetings and smeared 'gulal' on each other's faces.

Children played with colours and some of them also had a splash of coloured water with 'pichkaris'.

Foreigners also celebrated the festival at Khasakothi Hotel where special arrangements were made for them by the department of tourism, according to an official of tourism department.
 

So far, no untoward incident has taken place in the city, police said.

Police personnel have been deployed all over the city including sensitive areas to maintain law and order situation.
