A Sikh holy book was found dumped in bushes here today causing resentment among members of the community, police said.
A functionary of a gurdwara in Shalimar colony found the holy Guru Granth Sahib and some of gutkas (articles of Sikh faith) missing from the shrine when he reached there in the morning, police said.
The Gurdwara Managing Committee informed the police who found the holy book and gutkas in the buses near the Sikh shrine.
A meeting of prominent Sikh leaders here condemned the incident and asked police to arrest those behind it at the earliest.
