A 27-year-old young home guard jawan allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison and reportedly blamed some police for abetting him for the act.

Rahul was found in an unconscious state in front of the women police station here on Thursday evening, police said, adding, he called his brother-in-law before consuming poison and stated the reason for his suicide.

"Daddy, I am not a thief but still I confess my fault. Make my daughter an IPS officer when she grows up so that she can teach a lesson to small time Thanedars (policemen) who are responsible for my death," Rahul wrote in a suicide note purported blaming an ASI and other cops for his death.

In his suicide note, Rahul, has alleged that he was severely beaten and abused by ASI, Bijinder Singh and two constables at Pipli police station after being charged with stealing a mobile memory card.

Rahul's brother-in-law Nitu informed the victim's father who reached the spot and rushed him to a local district hospital.

Police said they tried to record his statement but he was not in a position to do so and he died on Thursday night.

Rahul had accompanied Bijinder Singh to one of his close persons, where the victim took the memory card belonging to that person for transferring songs into his mobile phone.

Rahul, a home guard jawan posted at Pipli, mentioned in the note that he forgot to return the memory card and brought it with himself home.

However, Bijinder, told reporters that he had gone to one of his known persons Sanjay with Rahul to get his car as they had to go out of station in connection with a case.

He said Rahul had denied having brought the memory card, which was later found from his possession.

SHO, City Police station, Thanesar, Rajesh Kumar, who is investigating the case, said that the 'suicide note' written by the deceased was handed over to police by his father, which was found in his diary left at home.

Rajesh Kumar said that the suicide note would be sent for verification to the Madhuban police laboratory on Monday.

Meanwhile, home guards of Kurukshetra, today joined hands to issue a warning to the district police that they would not join their duties till the accused policemen are not arrested.

They alleged that policemen mostly misbehave with the home guard.
