Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Ranchi on September 23 where he will take stock of the security situation in Jharkhand, one of the worst Naxal-hit states.
During the visit, the Home Minister will have a meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, top civil and police officers and review the law and order situation there, a Home Ministry official said.
Singh is expected to outline the new NDA government's strategy in dealing with the Maoists, considered to be the biggest internal security threat in the country.
