Home Ministry reviews CRPF's logistics demand

The Union Home Ministry today reviewed the operational requirements of the CRPF during a high-level meeting chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh here.

Officials said Singh, along with Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi, was briefed about the pending issues related to procurements and logistics of the force by senior Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officials at North Block.

A presentation was also made by the officials about its requirements in order to provide residential and other training facilities to its troops along with some equipment and gadgets desired for operational tasks where the country's largest paramilitary is deployed like in anti-Naxal operations, counter-insurgency combats and other law-and-order duties.
 

Officials said Singh later directed Home Ministry officials to take necessary action so that the requirements of the about three lakh personnel strong force are met soon.
