Home ministry reward for info on IEDs, landmines

Ahead of the coming Lok Sabha election, the Union Home ministry has announced to reward any person providing information about improvised explosive devices (IED) or anti-personnel landmines laid by the Maoists in naxal-affected areas.

The Union Home ministry's notification in this regard was received by the East Singhbhum district police headquarter here today, police sources said.

As per the notification, any person, who helps the security personnel recover IEDs and anti-personnel landmines of five kg weight would be rewarded with Rs 10,000, Rs 25,000 for providing information about explosive between 5 to 10 kgs and Rs 40,000 for above 11 kgs.
