Spolia has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh as the Chief Secretary of the state, while Deb has been made the Chief Electoral Officer of the Delhi, officials said, adding their transfer order has been issued by the Home Ministry.
As the Divisional Commissioner, Deb, an IAS officer, was handling the various aspects regularisation of unauthorised colonies in the city.
The move come amidst tussle between the city government and the Home Ministry over transfer of officials.
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had been protesting the "unilateral decision" of Home Ministry on the transfer of Delhi government officials.
Dikshit has been insisting that Home Ministry should hold discussion with the city government before effecting transfer of senior officials of her administration.
Taking a strong position, Dikshit said that there was a severe shortage of officials in Delhi government against the sanctioned strength and transfer of the huge number of officials would seriously affect governance.
She had, on August 29, met with Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde over the issue.
