'Homeland' bosses have revealed that the drama is headed for a time jump of about two and a half years and will see Carrie Mathison not working as a CIA operative in its fifth season.

'Homeland' showrunner Alex Gansa dropped a few tidbits about the Showtime drama's fifth season in a Q&A session with star Claire Danes and executive producers during the opening of PaleyFest at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, reported Variety.

The show will shoot in Europe later this year, probably Germany, after shooting last year in Cape Town, South Africa for scenes set in Pakistan.

Gansa said, Claire Danes' Carrie Mathison "will no longer be an intelligence officer," he said.

He declined to elaborate on the "tiny teaser" to which Danes joked: "She's making beer."

The fourth season of the show saw Indian actors Nimrat Kaur and Suraj Sharma playing key roles in the terrorism drama.
