Dog lovers in the national capital can now order nutritious homemade food for their canines which will be delivered at their doorsteps at reasonable prices.
Till now, packaged and branded dog food has been the norm for those who have dogs as pets at home or the usual dosage of milk and biscuits for those who like to feed stray canines on city streets.
A veteran advertising professional has now launched a 24X7 dog food store which prepares nutritionally approved dog food for supply at home in the national capital region.

The man behind the maiden venture, 45-year-old Jotvinder Singh, has left his regular advertising job to pursue his passion of dog care.
"I have been brought up in a house that always had dogs. At no point of time we had less than 4-5 dogs in our house as pets and the rest we would feed were found on the street. When I saw that there are limited or no options when it comes to giving a healthy food to dogs I decided to launch my venture," Jotvinder, who operates from his store 'Woofyums' in Mahipalpur, said adding the city has potential for such a healthy business venture.
A team of two cooks and two delivery boys, every morning, cook piping hot food in their 'kennel kitchen' and then rush out to deliver these neatly packed food cartons at the doorsteps of a limited number of customers.
"A half kg meal of chicken stew with dalia, rice and pumpkin is charged at Rs 60. We have monthly and yearly packages and this amount is much less and reasonable than branded foods which are available in the market," Jotvinder, who launched this initiative in June this year.
Orders can be placed by visiting on the website or by calling the numbers given there, he said.
Apart from these preparations, the young entrepreneur said, he also prepares meals rich in vegetables, carrot, soya and other such ingredients.
"The menu has been developed after a lot of research and after talking to nutritionists. I think there is a sincere need to supply hot meals for dogs in Delhi which has a lot of pet and stray dog population," he said.
Jotvinder, who is called 'Jojo' amongst dog lovers, also has setup initiatives to feed the hungry stray canines on Delhi's streets and his group of friends is now planning to organise a donation campaign for collecting mattresses for these innocent four-legged creatures so that they can better combat the ferocious winters, set to arrive soon.
