Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today accused the opposition of trying to mislead people against his government, but said such moves won't do any good to the parties which are suffering due to their own "misdeeds".
"People are aware of their (opposition's) political gimmicks and know that only Congress is the party of all sections of the society," Hooda said at a rally here.
"On one hand they challenged me to debate anywhere, while on the other, they refused to debate in Vidhan Sabha which is an apt platform to discuss various issues", he added.

Referring to the conviction of Om Prakash Chautala in a recruitment scam, Hooda said "they were suffering due to their own misdeeds" and the Congress has nothing to do with this.
In 2003, when the Supreme Court had ordered a CBI inquiry into the matter, Om Parkash Chautala himself was the Chief Minister of Haryana and the NDA supported by his party was in power at the Centre, Hooda said.
"I neither intend to work with political vendetta, nor have I the time for that as my focus is only development," Hooda said.
