Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today asked the Deputy Commissioners to conduct inspection of places visited by common people like hospitals to enhance the faith of public in the administration.
Addressing an annual conference of DCs and SPs here, he exhorted them to remain available 24x7 for immediate redressal of grievances of the people.
Sitting in their offices for an hour was not enough, the Chief Minister said adding "being a face of the public, they, in particular the police officers, should be available 24x7 to the people".

The DCs should also conduct surprise inspections in the schools to ensure the presence of teachers, Hooda said.
Describing the concept of night stay in the villages by senior officers as an important grievance redressal mechanism, Hooda directed that from now onwards the DCs would spend at least two days in a month in the villages falling under their jurisdiction.
"They should also be accompanied by the concerned SP to deal with the local issues on the spot," he said.
Reviewing the ongoing procurement of wheat, the Chief Minister directed all the Deputy Commissioners to monitor payment for wheat to farmers.
