After paying a floral tribute to the freedom fighters, Hooda, who was accompanied by Speaker of Haryana Assembly Kuldeep Sharma, Deputy Speaker Akram Khan and several legislators, went around the gallery, an official release said.
The gallery has black and white portraits of 22 freedom fighters, who have laid down their lives for the nation.
Plans are afoot to set up portraits of other freedom fighters in the gallery, he said.
The prominent freedom fighters featuring in the gallery include Neki Ram Sharma, Abdul Gaffar Khan, Rao Mangliram Vaid,Desh Bandhu Gupta, Lala Shyam Lal, Ranbir Singh among others.
