Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today accused Narendra Modi of misleading people on the 'Gujarat Model' saying his state was far ahead of Gujarat in terms of development.

"Gujarat model would indeed leave Haryana way behind its present developed status in case it is implemented in Haryana," he said at public gatherings during his rath yatra at Faridabad, Palwal and Mewat.

He claimed that Haryana is far ahead of Gujarat on 24 fronts which could clearly be reflected through figures.

These areas include old age, widow and handicapped pension, per capita income, per capita investment and planned budget, he claimed.

"The old age pension which is Rs 1,000 in Haryana, is merely Rs 400 in Gujarat," he said.

He said that in Haryana under MGNREGA Rs 236 per day is been given to the labourers, whereas the farmers are paid Rs 301 per quintal for sugarcane, which is highest in the country.

"Modi is just deceiving people with a dream to become the prime minister," he said.
