The chief minister made this offering after paying obeisance to Shirdi Sai Baba and laying the foundation stone of Satya Sai Sadan and Langar Hall of the temple.
While speaking on the occasion, Hooda urged people to follow the teachings of saints adding that only going to temple and offering 'prasad' was not enough.
He said although he was an 'Arya Samaji' yet he has kept 'karma' above everything else.
He said that he also visits Shirdi and gets energy from there.
It was a matter of happiness that Shirdi Sai Baba temple had been constructed there and the devotees coming to this temple should take inspiration for doing good deeds, he said.
"In my opinion, helping the needy is the best Karma," he said, adding Sai Baba taught his devotees to serve humanity.
