Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Indian national Sarabjit Singh, who died in a hospital at Lahore last night.
Hooda said that he was saddened by Indian prisoner's death at Lahore following a murderous attack on him inside the jail at Lahore where the death row convict was lodged.
The Chief Minister, who was interacting with reporters here after chairing a state cabinet meeting, said "being an international matter, the Government of India is taking appropriate action in this regard."
"It should not have happened (the circumstances in which Sarabjit died)," he added.
