Upholding Unity in Diversity, the four zonal cultural centres of the country came together to showcase the respective culture and tradition under the aegis of North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur marking the second day of the Hornbill Festival of Nagaland.
Every year the second day of the festival is dedicated as 'North-East Day' with cultural presentations from the eight North Eastern states.
However, this year, NEZCC have combined the performances of all the four zonal cultural centres of the country.

Representing Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre Kolkota, Odisha performed 'Sambhalpuri dance'.
Representing 'North Zone Cultural Centre Patiala', Punjab cultural troupe performed 'Bhangra' dance while Andhra Pradesh represented South Zone Cultural Centre 'Thanjavur' with 'Tappetagullu' dance.
Another attraction of the day was the 6th edition of World War-II Peace Rally organised by Nagaland Adventure and Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) in collaboration with state's Tourism Department.
The WW-II Peace Rally is held during the Hornbill Festival to commemorate the Battle of Kohima and also to promote peace and unity.
The rally was flagged off from Dimapur district and culminated at festival venue.
On behalf of NEZCC Dimapur, Assam performed Bihu dance, Arunachal Pradesh presented Eme-Relo dance while Meghalaya showcased harvest dance.
Meanwhile, official of Tourism Department informed that the first day of the Hornbill Festival witnessed a total of 22,740 visitors, including 180 foreigners.
