Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said that a horticulture university, being set up in Karnal and will be named after Maharana Pratap.
Speaking at the state-level Maharana Pratap Jayanti celebrations, he said that Baldev Nagar Chowk, Ambala and Kamani Chowk, would be named Maharana Pratap chowks. A chowk would also be identified in Panchkula to be named after him.
The chief minister also announced that a memorial for Prithviraj Chauhan in Taraori (Karnal district) would be set up and assured help in setting up of educational institution named after Maharana Pratap, if village panchayat provides five acre of land for the same.

He said that the state government has decided to include biographies of Maharana Pratap, Guru Gobind Singh, Banda Singh Bahadur, Shivaji Maratha and other great personalities in the curriculum of schools so that the future generations could take inspiration from their lives.
Khattar accused the previous dispension of neglecting education due to which youths are facing problem of unemployment.
