Hot and dry day in Delhi

A scorching sun today pushed up the maximum temperature to 39.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal, as the national capital braved another hot and dry day.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius yesterday while it is expected to touch 40 degrees Celsius tomorrow, a MeT official said.

The minimum temperature on the day was recorded two notches below the season's average at 21.1 degrees Celsius while the day witnessed clear skies.

The humidity ranging from a maximum of 67 per cent to 20 per cent minimum during the day was indicative of rising dryness of the season, the official added.
 

The minimum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius tomorrow with mainly clear skies.
