With the South-West monsoon playing truant, hot and humid weather conditions today prevailed in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.
Hisar in Haryana recorded a maximum temperature of 36.1 degrees Celsius.
Ambala also experienced the sultry weather conditions at 35.5 degrees Celsius.

Sultry weather conditions prevailed in Ludhiana, which recorded a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius while Patiala's maximum settled at 34 degrees Celsius.
Maximum relative humidity at most places in the two states has been in the range of 70-85 per cent.
No singnificant rainfall occured during the past few days in parts of Punjab and Haryana as south-west monsoon was "weak" in the state.
After it hit the two states, including Chandigarh over a week back, there has been no significant rainfall activity in the region, the MeT Department said.
"The monsoon has turned weak over Punjab and Haryana during the past few days. However, it is likely to revive from July 13 onwards," a MeT Department official said.
At present, he said, the monsoon trough was running from north-west Rajasthan to Bay of Bengal and rainfall activity was expected in the states being covered under this trough.
"We are hoping that the monsoon trough, which is kind of forming a straight line at the moment, will move upwards towards Punjab and Haryana and bring rains in the two states from July 13," he said.
