Hot and humid day in Delhi, rain likely on Tuesday

It was a hot and humid day in the national capital on Monday with the weatherman predicting cloudy skies and rains in the next 24 hours.

"The maximum temperature was recorded at 36.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal while the minimum settled at 28.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal," a MeT official said.

The humidity levels oscillated between 84 and 53 per cent.

The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy day on Tuesday with possibility of light rains towards the afternoon.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius," the official added.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature settled at 37 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 26.5 degrees Celsius.
