The mercury remained above normal levels with the maximum recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius and minimum at 27.5 degrees. The maximum was two degrees above normal while the minimum was one degree above normal for this time of the year.
Some parts of the capital received showers with the rain guages at Safdurjung Weather Station measuring 0.8 mm.
The cloud cover and high humidity took the sheen out of the holiday. Humidity oscillated between 62 and 89 per cent.
The Weatherman has predicted one or two spells of rains tomorrow. "It will be a cloudy day. The temperature will be between 28 and 35 degree Celsius," a MeT official said.
