Hot day for Delhiites

It was a hot day in the national capital today with the mercury settling close to the 40 degree Celsius mark.

The maximum temperature today settled at 39.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, said a MeT department official.

Humidity in the air oscillated between 39 per cent and 69 per cent.

The MeT office has predicted overcast conditions for tomorrow.

"The skies will be partly cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius respectively," the official said.
 

Yesterday, the maximum temperature had settled at 38.9 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius.
