Hot day in Delhi

Hot weather conditions caused much discomfort to the people in the national capital today with the mercury recording highest maximum at 37.5 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological department, however, has predicted rains in some parts of the city tomorrow.

Maximum in the city was today recorded at 37.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average. The minimum settled at 29.2 degrees Celsius, three points above normal.

The Lodhi road observatory recorded traces of rainfall between 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM whereas areas like Safdarjung, Ayanagar, Ridge and Palam remained dry.

Humidity levels wavered between 53 and 67 per cent.

"The skies will be generally cloudy. Rain or thundershower may occur in some areas. Maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 35 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively," a Met forecast said.
