It was a hot day in the national capital today with the maximum temperature settling at 37.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
The minimum temperature settled at 23.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above the normal, said a Meteorological Department official.
The humidity oscillated between 78 and 27 per cent.
The Met office has forecast overcast skies along with a likelihood of light rain and drizzle in some areas for tomorrow.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 38 and 23 degrees respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 39 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 23 degrees Celsius.
