Hot and dry and weather conditions persisted in lower hills of Himachal Pradesh even as moderate rains lashed the region previous night.
Some parts in the region had moderate rains last night and Gohar received 64 mm of rains, followed by Bijahi 25 mm, Palampur 21 mm, Bhoranj 14 mm, Pandoh 11 mm, Arki 10mm and Shimla 5 mm.
The maximum day temperatures rose by one to two degrees. Una was hottest in the region with a high of 34 deg C, followed by Sunder Nagar 32 deg C, Bhuntar 31.3 deg C, Kangra 31 deg C, Solan 28.8 deg C, Nahan 28.1 deg C, Shimla 24.5 deg C, Manali 23.6 deg C and Kalpa 23 deg C.

However, the minimum temperatures dropped by one to two degrees. Kalpa recorded the lowest at 8 deg C.
The local MeT office has predicted dry weather in the region over next five days.
