It was a hot and humid day in the national capital with the mercury settling at two notches above the normal level.
The maximum temperature settled at 35 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 23 degrees Celsius, the meteorological department said.
Humidity levels oscillated between 37 and 88 per cent.
The weatherman has predicted a clear sky for Thursday morning.
"The skies will remain clear and the maximum temperature is expected to settle at 35 degrees Celsius," the official said.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature at 8.30 am was 35.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal while the minimum temperature was 25.5 degrees Celsius.
