Hot weather conditions continued to prevail in most parts of Haryana and Punjab with Narnaul recording the hottest place at 44.5 degrees Celsius.
Among other places in Haryana, blistering heat swept Hisar, which recorded a high of 43 degrees Celsius while Bhiwani, too, experienced a hot day at 42.5 degrees Celsius.
Narnaul in Haryana recorded a two degrees above normal maximum temperature, the Meteorological (MeT) Department report said here.
Ambala recorded a high of 39.3 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar had a hot day at 41.9 degrees Celsius. Ludhiana and Patiala, too, experienced the hot weather recording respective maximum temperatures of 40.7 degrees Celsius and 39.9 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a high of 39.9 degrees Celsius.
