Narnaul was the hottest place in in Haryana today with maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, while hot weather conditions continued to prevail in most parts of the state and neighbouring Punjab.
In Haryana, Hisar also experienced a hot day with a high of 39.1 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal and Ambala recorded maximum temperature of 36.9 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.
In Punjab, Patiala registered a maximum temperature of 37.6 degrees Celsius, seven notches above normal, Ludhiana recorded a high of 36.6 degrees Celsius followed by Amritsar at 35.2 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a high of 35.5 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.
