Hot weather conditions persisted in north-west Rajasthan, where Ganganagar sizzled at 41.2 degrees Celsius even as light showers were experienced at several places in the state.
The MeT department in Jaipur said chief amount of rainfall was recorded in Udaipur, Ajmer, and Jodhpur divisions with Mount Abu, Kumbhalgarh, Sumerpur, Jawai Bandh gauging 5 cm rains each.
In the north-west Rajasthan, Ganganagar sweltered at 41.2 degrees Celsius. Churu recorded had a high of 40.8 deg C, followed by Bikaner 38.6, Pilani 38.2 and Jaipur 38.5 deg C.
The weather department has predicted rains at some places in east Rajasthan in the next 24 hours. Dry weather conditions will persist in northwest regions of the state.
