'Hourly air quality updates at key traffic intersections in

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has tied up with the Delhi Police to display hourly air quality updates and health advisories at various traffic intersections in the city, the government said today.

Minister of state for environment Mahesh Sharma said that air quality index values and advisory were being displayed on an hourly basis on 50 locations across the national capital.

"CPCB has tied up with Delhi Police to display hourly Air Quality Index (AQI) value and health advisories on LED panels at traffic intersections.

"AQI and advisory is being displayed on hourly basis at 50 locations in Delhi, where Delhi Traffic Police has installed Variable Message Sign (VMS) Boards," Sharma said.
 

He said the government has not taken any decision about implementing such a plan in other metro cities and tourist destinations.

"There is no decision regarding implementation of such plan in other metro cities and other important tourists destinations across the country," he said.
