At least 11 people, including four of a family, were killed today in Bangladesh when a two-storeyed tin-shed house built on a marshy land collapsed here.
Rescuers feared more bodies to be trapped inside the shanty-like structure in Rampura area in Dhaka that stood on bamboo poles on a water body with 28 people living in it, police said.
"Death toll now reached at 11 and we are looking for more bodies," a fire official told TV channels.

He said rescuers are now cautiously using mechanical methods to remove the debris. He said fears of electrification in using electronic gadgets have forced the officials to use battery.
A salvage operation has been underway since the house caved in this afternoon.
TV footage showed lower storey of the structure sucked in by the mud in the algae-filled water body which increased the risk of electrification.
"We have rescued several people and sent them to hospitals for treatment," a fire service official said.
Rescue operations are still going on.
