House designs will be on Andhra pattern in Jharkhand : CM

Design of making house would be on the pattern of Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said today.

To pass design of making house - either by automatic or on-line mode - the design would be on the pattern of Andhra Pradesh and the system would ensure a particular space and height and the allottee would get to know the necessary fee, an official release said quoting Das.

Addressing 'Swachch Bharat Mission' and Smart City meeting here, Das said the government was also pondering over 'command control centre' for providing facilities to the people.

Saying that cities would become smart only when one works smartly, he asked to give finishing touches to projects and emphasised the necessity to giving services and facilities to the people by the city corporation.
 

Along with constructing green field smart city, Das directed to ensure traffic, toilet and water system in populous areas.

Those localities completing water facility may observe 'water festival', Das said.

Stating that October two has been set as a goal to achieve ODF, Das directed to construct toilets outside railway stations and near railway lines and populous areas. He also asked to set up e-toilet at four important places.

The meeting also held discussions on solid waste management and with new technology energy could be generated out of it and that it was necessary to focus on waste to energy (W2E) mission. Now big institutions/hotels could convert compost from waste, Das said.

The meeting also pondered over on the proposed sky train, which requires lesser time to move.

Union Urban Development Secretary Rajiv Gauba said there would not be any shortage of funds for making Jharkhand Swachch and the Centre would cooperate the state in becoming successful under the mission.

Urban Development Minister C P Singh, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare and Principal Secretary (Urban Development) Arun Singh were present in the meeting.
