Bihar's first chief minister Sri Krishna Singh's kin was injured and his farmhouse robbed by armed robbers near a village under Choradano police station area in Bihar's East Champaran district, a police officer said today.
The incident took place late last night after about two dozen armed dacoits raided Ramesh Shankar Sinha's farmhouse located near Ekdari village and assaulted him before robbing cash, valuables and weapons worth lakhs of rupees, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jitendra Pandey said.
Sinha, who is the grandson of the late chief minister, sustained injuries in his hands after being beaten up by the robbers, the DSP said adding, the injured farmhouse owner has been admitted to the Sadar hospital for treatment.

The robbers, while escaping with the booty, fired in the air to terrorise local resident, Pandey said.
The robbers also beat up Sinha's son, daughter in-law and other family members before locking them in a room prior to looting the cash, jewellery and weapons worth lakhs of rupees, the officer said adding, a case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab the culprits.
