House panel for Rs 2 lakh relief to kin of dead pvt security

A panel of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly has recommended payment of Rs 2 lakh as compensation to kin of private security agencies personnel who die while discharging their duties.

The Select Committee of the Assembly has suggested incorporation of amendments to the Bill that favour payment of Rs 2 lakh as ex-gratia relief to the next of the kin of those private security agencies personnel who die while discharging their duties and Rs 50,000 for the seriously injured, a spokesman said today.

The meeting of the committee on the Jammu and Kashmir Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Bill, 2013 was held under the chairmanship of Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Mir Saifullah here yesterday.
 

The discussion covered various issues related to the Jammu and Kashmir Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Bill, 2013.

Legislators Nasir Aslam Wani, Yashpaul Kundal, Jugal Kishore and Peerzada Mansoor Hussain attended the meeting.
