Refusing to bow down in the face of Babulal Marandi's dharna at Pachuara against the Panem entered the 18th day and his JVM MLAs, supported by Congress MLAs, creating noisy scenes in the House, Deputy Chief Minister Hemant Soren said it was unfair to drag the government in affairs related to private parties.

"The agreement was entered dramatically by Raj Mahal Pahar Bachao Samiti with the (company's) management in November, 2006, days ahead of a hearing in the Supreme Court. Now blaming the government on it is not justifiable," Soren said while turning down the JVM's various demands surrounding the agreement, including government's intervention.

Soren, however, said the agitators were shying away to talk with officials of the district administration to sort out their problems.

Claiming that "genuine land losers" were not seen at the agitation site, Soren took a dig at JVM saying, "The langar-type (community kitchen) agitation is going on at (Pachuwara in Pakur district). I don't think the matter is as serious as being made out to be. 50 to 100 people can shut down any company by resorting to agitation at company gates". (MORE)
