Indore based Kathak dancer Ragini Makkhar and her troupe Naadyog, who had impressed the judges right from the auditions to the finale with their innovative concepts, took home the 'India's Got Talent 5' trophy.

"I had never expected that we will be able to make it finally. I was confident about our talent but the victory was unexpected. I made sure that we keep the rich tradition of Kathak alive with my innovative concepts. I thank my audience and husband for believing in me," Ragini told PTI over the phone from Mumbai.

The troupe, which comprised of women from various age group, has been awarded Rs 50 lakh, a car and the trophy. They were handed the winning trophy by guests on the show Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla.

"The money would be spent on making a good dance institute for poor girls, who want to learn the dance form. Apart from teaching them dance, I also help them financially and personally," Ragini, who is a homemaker by profession, said.

Now that they have won 'India's Got Talent', Ragini also wants to choreograph for Bollywood.

"I haven't watched any film in these 11 years. I was so much dedicated to my institute. If given a chance I would like to choreograph a Kathak piece for Karan (Johar) sir's film. I am a fan of his creativity," she added.

The fifth season of the show was judged by Kirron Kher, Malaika Arora Khan and Karan Johar.
