Prajapati found the woman and her two kids lying unconscious on the floor and informed the police, he said, adding that Bhavina's husband Ashish Jesaria is untraceable.
Dave further said that this may be a case of a mass suicide, since the police found some clues which suggest that the woman and her sons had consumed poison.
Police also found a rope tied to a ceiling fan and bloodstains in the house. It indicates that Bhavina's husband might have tried to commit suicide by hanging himself or by slitting his wrist as no injury mark was found on the bodies of the three deceased, Dave said.
He said that according to their neighbours, Bhavina's husband had resigned from the post of a lecturer at Vallabh Vidyanagar University in Anand town a month ago, which probably created tension in the family.
However, a police complaint filed by Bhavina's father Savji Jesaria stated that his daughter and her two kids have been killed after being poisoned.
The police has registered a case of murder and sent the bodies for postmortem to ascertain the cause of their deaths, Dave said.
