"Former chief minister and HPCC president Virbhadra Singh and former Congress chief Kaul Singh were repeatedly pressing the EC to impose the model code of conduct but their demand was totally unconstitutional and uncalled for and amounts to undermining the EC," party spokesperson Ganesh Dutt said in a statement here.
"The spectre of defeat is haunting the Congress leaders who are making such illogical demands to boost the sagging morale of their workers but the BJP was totally unruffled and making concerted efforts to make mission repeat a success," he said.
