Rajesh Dharmani, who had quit from the post of Chief Parliamentary secretary of Himachal Pradesh last Wednesday, has withdrawn his resignation after meeting Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

"Rajesh Dharmani, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, met Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh here last evening and has withdrawn his resignation after discussions with the CM," a statement issued by an official spokesperson said today.

A two time MLA from Ghumarwin seat in Bilaspur, Dharmani said that the Chief Minister was positive on the issues raised by him, and he withdrew resignation after an assurance from Singh that the issues will be resolved soon.

"I don't want to be the CPS for the heck of it, for a flag or office in secretariat, but want to make some valuable contribution and if no work is given to us, it is sheer wastage of money," he said.

"The Chief Minister was positive on the issues raised by me and discussed everything at length and I withdrew resignation only after an assurance from him that he would resolve the matter," Dharmani added.
