HP CM announces financial aid for kin of murdered local boy

Expressing anguish over the killing of Nagesh Kumar, a local boy from Solan, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Thursday announced a financial aid of Rs three lakh for the bereaved family, an official spokesperson said.

The twelve-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped for ransom and murdered by a Nepalese youth near Solan on Tuesday.

Talking to the deceased boy's father Bhagat Ram over phone on Thursday, Thakur expressed grief and offered his condolences.

"The people of the state are with them in this hour of distress and I am personally pained to know about the dreadful killing," the official said, quoting the chief minister.
