Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today launched a 15-day campaign against drug menace in the state.
Launching the campaign, which is being organised by Prajapati Braham Kumari Vishvavidyala, Singh said the drug menace was growing fast in the society which needed to be checked effectively.
"It does not harm only the individual but the whole family and was suicidal for the society as a whole," the Chief Minister said.
The objectives of the campaign against drug addiction were to tackle the menace with support of the society and create awareness among people about its ruinous effects, an official of the university said.
