HP CM pays tribute to Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today payed tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on the occasion of his 25th death anniversary here today.

He along with other leaders paid floral tribute and garlanded the statue of late leader at Chhota Shimla. 'Shanti Mantra' was also recited on the occasion.

The chief minister was also accompanied by Irrigation and Public health Minister Vidya Stokes and Forest Minister Thakur Singh Bharmauri.

Rajiv Gandhi, who was the sixth Prime Minister of India, was assassinated on May 21, 1991 at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu during a poll campaign.
