The meeting of PEC was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of HPCC president Virbhadra Singh but the 90 minute meeting could not decided the names or gave recommendations and simply authorised Gandhi to finalise and announce the list.
The meeting passed a single line resolution authorising Gandhi to decide the candidates, party general secretary Sudhir Sharma said.
Besides, AICC general secretary, and HPCC chief, 15 members of PEC attended the meeting.
Election for the 68 member Himachal Pradesh Assembly are slated in November and both the major contenders, BJP and Congress are in the process of selection of candidates.
